My hope and goal is to help you return to and maintain balance with a clear mind, a pain free body, and a bright spirit.
I have been practicing in the Olympia area since 2002. Previously, I worked in the resort area of Palm Springs, California. While in California I worked forAll About Massage, Inc, named as one of the top 100 spas in the world. While there, I received the "Most Requested Therapist" award. I was quoted in the June 2002 issue of Day Spa on how and why massage works for pain relief. I also worked the Indian Wells Open Masters Tennis Tournament where I was a massage therapist for some of the world's top tennis players.
I am proud to be a Professional Member of the American Massage Therapy Association, and being active in the association I have served as Chair for the South Sound Chapter. In 2008, I was elected to the House of Delegates for the AMTA's national convention in Phoenix. I am certified with the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.
Since graduating from the Alexandar School of Natural Therapeutics in Tacoma, Washington in 2002 I have taken continuing education courses including Reiki, pregnancy massage, Hot River Stone Massage, and Lomi Lomi to name just a few. I am now certified in Triggerpoint and Myofascial Release (an intense body work style with life changing effect), and have become a Certified Zen Body therapy® Practitioner (Structural Integration).
Additional training has been Upledgers' CrainoSacral Therapy and Advanced Lymph Drainage therapy. Both are a very gentle type of massage. Currently, I am a teaching assistant (TA) for the Upledger Institute for Crainio I and Lymph Drainage I and II. In 2006, I began an intensive course curriculum in Visceral Manipulation. Visceral Manipulation (VM) is a gentle hands-on therapy that works through the body's visceral system (the heart, liver, intestines and other internal organs) to locate and alleviate these abnormal points of tension throughout the body. It has been quite a journey and I have joined a monthly study group led by Dr. Ron Marriotti. In 2008 I started as a TZ for the Barral Institute, (VM1, VM2 7 VM3).
Being passionate about my work I am grateful to all of you with whom I worked and those I have yet to meet. You inspire me to continue to learn and increase my skills to be able to address your needs. I am now successfully treating a vast array of conditions such as brain trauma, motor vehicle accidents, traumatic injury, emotional trauma, digestive complaints, bladder and pelvic organ issues of all types, gallbladder disease, birth trauma, adhesions due tosurgery, and musculoskeletal symptoms.
Today my clientele spans all ages with varying needs. Today my clientele spans all ages with varying needs. To meet these needs I am constantly refining my massage techniques. I have become skilled in sports massage, pregnancy massage, massage therapy for those clients seeking general stress relief and relaxation, working with cancer patients undergoing various treatments, and assisting clients in recovery from accidents. My focus is tangible, measurable results for you.
